“On our 12 week meeting at Lochside we listed our suppliers and decided we wanted a videographer to work alongside our photographer. Our wedding co-ordinator recommended Alan at Memories by Movies Videography and what a fabulous recommendation this was! Our first meeting was via video call and we knew straight away that Alan was very easy to get along with, which was a must as we would be spending a bit of time together on our big day. Alan worked great with Darren our photographer and although they had never worked together, you would never have thought it. We were all so relaxed, laughing and joking and it made this part of our day and night hassle free. The best bit….. we received our wedding teaser in less than a fortnight while on honeymoon. It was absolutely perfect and cannot stop watching it. We then received our full video within 4 weeks and it is priceless! Alan has captured everything and more. All the parts of the day we missed, Alan has caught it. Our love story included a trifle and Alan laughed about it the whole day. He brought us our usb and a little present – a trifle with two personalised spoons!! How thoughtful and funny at the same time. He is such a professional with a great personality! We were very apprehensive about getting a videographer and having that ‘camera in your face’ feeling the whole of our wedding day, and we’d encourage anyone who feels like that to get in contact with Alan. “Where do I start with Alan at Memories by Movie? Including Alan from Memories by Movie as part of our wedding day was was one of the best decisions we made. We planned our wedding day within 5 months and Alan was always on hand with reassurance- responding straight away to any of my crazy questions or queries we had. After a video consultation we knew that we had made the right decision to get the day filmed. On our wedding day Alan made both my husband and I , our wedding party and all our guests feel extremely relaxed and comfortable as he caught some footage, this is evident within our film. “I dont even know where to start or how to put in to words how amazing Alan was from start to finish. From our first meet up, getting us dead excited and giving us hints, tips and recommendations. On the day he just blended in, he was amazing with my nephew so got loads of great footage of him which we didnt think we would get any 😅. Even after the wedding he kept us updated and we got our teaser which was amazing, then the actual video … well that was just epic (i cannot thibk of a strong enough word to descibe this)! We have watched it so many times, words cannot describe how perfect it is. He captured our personalities perfectly, nothing was too staged but simply us being us! He is well organised and dedicated to what he does. We were amazed as we received our teaser video and then the full video only a few weeks after our wedding. On the day of the wedding, Alan went above and beyond his duties of ‘videographer.’ He was extremely helpful to myself and my wife, Claire. He goes about his business in a calm and humorous fashion. He was a joy to work with and really added to the ‘the fun’ on our wedding day. We had our teaser video within a couple of weeks of our wedding day and received our final video the week after that. We are delighted with the quality and creativity throughout his work. If Claire and I need a videographer again in the future for an event, we will certainly approach Alan and will be passing his name to friends/family who get married in the future. “I can’t express how pleased we both were with our experience with Alan. He not only took on the role of videographer, he firstly and most importantly developed a bond with the dog.. “From start to finish the service we got was fantastic, Alan was really professional and friendly, he even managed to cope with the killie mad Groom bringing up Ayr any chance he could. We facetimed which was easier for us with the kids and work. On our wedding day Alan worked well with the photographer we had and he made us feel really comfortable ( we forgot he was recording us most of the time) we received a teaser video that was fab then the full video was delivered, with a personalised wooden box with our photo and names engraved on the wooden USB, we didn’t expect such a personal touch. “We were looking for a videographer to catch the moments of our day for a while. I found Alan on Facebook through so many recommendations from a Facebook page for scottish brides. I checked his website out and was totally sold there and then! I quickly checked his availability and he only had my wedding date left which was in May. I just knew this was a sign that he was for us and my god did he deliver! Even from the first contact of booking he had me laughing away, he has an amazing sense of humour that makes you feel like youve been friends for years. On the day he came to see us while we were getting ready and just fit right in, he had the kids laughing as well as us! He worked along side our photographers as though they were the same team! It was like reliving the best day of your life. My little girl is 4, and i would like to mention that she sat through the whole video mesmerised with it seeing her favourite people on the big screen! It’s easy to see he takes great pride and care in his work and wants everyone to have the perfect video memories of their day. He couldn’t have done enough for us on our day. “Alan was nothing short of a lifesaver, our original videographer cancelled at 10:10pm the NIGHT BEFORE the wedding, and I’ll always see it as a blessing in disguise! Alan was accommodating, friendly, a good laugh, and professional in everything he done. With near to no direction of what we wanted due to the extremely short notice, he was able to work with the photographer and build great shots, meaning that less time was used away from the guests as they were both extremely efficient working well together. He settled in well with the guests, and everything felt at ease with him, not a single thing was an issue for Alan on the day, even helped get one of the photographers to the venue for us as there was a car issue! “Initially we were hesitant about booking a videographer to capture our wedding day. However, booking Alan at Memories by Movie was one of the best decisions that we made during wedding planning. After watching Alan’s previous wedding videos on Facebook and chatting to Alan, we were sure that we needed him as our videographer. . Alan had us laughing during our pictures with the Ayr FBC and Killie FBC rivalry (which was awesome and made the photos even better!). “My wife and I got married on 28th of September 2019 at the Dumfries Arms Hotel. Alan from Memories by Movie was our videographer. We honestly could not be happier with the work carried out by Alan right from the start. We contacted Alan 2 years ago when we announced our engagement and within the hour we had all his packages in a list and a quote with no issues. Once we selected our venue Alan suggested that he would come and see the venue for all the best angles where he can set up his drone and cater to all the shots we wanted.
